Hi curlygirly,

Click the link for weather info in October http://www.agni.gr/guides/weather/weather.asp

Also click the link for some mozzie advice http://www.agni.gr/faq/how_can_we_avoid_mosquitoes.asp

As for the air conditioning we arrived back on the 2nd of July and we did not use the air-con on our 2 week stay, it was fairly cool at night for the first week, the second week it did warm up and it was pleasent at night without being to warm, shorts & a shirt ETC. The air-con at our Apts cost a whoping 50 Euros A WEEK, so we could live without it, and save the cash for some nice evening out. To quote the weather guide 'Evenings will feel cool and require a jumper' so  I feel that you will not need the air-con.  Also the down side to air-con is that it takes longer to get used to the climate, no air-con and you get used to the climate quick. Also air-con can give you a very dry mouth in the morning if it is left on all night!!!

Cheers

Lea

We are just back from the BBE and to be honest i didnt find the mozzies much of a problem me and my daughter had a few bites but my hubby and sons seem to escape them. We used the aftersun with the repellent and  the plug ins for the bedrooms. For the first few nights we burnt a candle at our table but after fogetting it one night we didnt bother after that as it didnt seem to make much diffrence. I did carry a spray around with me for stings and bites which came in handy the few times i did get bit also when i stood on a wasp.

Hi Lawrence,

I bought both the wipes (15 in a box) and the strongest repellent that M&S sell......I can't remember the exact description, but it's sold on the same displays as the suncare range.

The product comes in 150ml aerosol or pump sprays and the one I bought contains 50% deet (perhaps a bit strong to be used on kiddies).

It's wonderful stuff

as i don't live near an m&s, i find that superdrug's extra strength 'buzz off' spray to be very good - that is also 50% deet.

i just think that i attract mozzers, though!
