just been reading all the input  ref lack of winter flights, which made me think

what do the folks living on corfu consider winter i.e  december to march ???

just a thought as the weather seemed to be pleasant there  till well into november

and the airlines in general dont do flights after mid october and dont start till late april.

Hi Brian

Winter in Corfu runs from the end of October until the begining of May (i.e. the closed season).

Having said that. many locals regards October as being winter, which is reflected in what goods and services are available.

You pays your money an takes your choice. You will always be able to find somewhere to eat and drink, but out of season, the choice is limited.

Where do you think yo might be going - let us know and we can point you in the right direction.

Martryn

Hi Brian,

If you have a look at the Greek Life section on this site it gives you info on what the locals do during winter.

By UK standards Winter started at Xmas and seems to be already over. The last few days seemed like spring and the sun is really warm. It still gets cold in the evenings when the sun goes down but in the day it's wonderful.

It seems to have been frosty in Corfu for a couple of nights but by the time I had breakfast at around 8.30 am it has been warm enough to sit outside so long as you are in the sun. We have had all the windows and doors open for over a week now in the daytime.

Trouble is, it's raining today.

Sorry to disappoint you but last week we did have frost at night and icy roads in the morning in Corfu and it was white with frost one morning on the Ropa valley.
