Just flown back with Easyjet and I too have problems through a major spinal injury. As a 6 footer I need decent legroom. On Easyjet this is no problem but what I do like is the very back seat by the bulkhead. I suffer when people either jerk my seat back sharply when standing or keep ramming their feet/knees into the back of my seat. Easyjet are probably the best airline I've flown with.

Well Daughter got back last night from Athens and declared speedy boarding at Athens a success. As soon as the speedy boarders were called the whole crowd moved forward waiving papers at the staff, all non speedy boarders were waved away and moved back, lots of dark mutterings from the people who wanted to board 1st but were too tight to pay for the service!! If you dont mind where you sit dont pay the extra, you will get on and get a seat.

When we came back in May a very posh lady was sat in the front seat with her handbag and cardigan on the two seats next to her, the last people to board were her two equally posh lady friends who proceeded to sit next to her, obviously she was the only one who had purchased speedy boarding but thought it okay to save seats for her friends To add insult to injury they called the steward and got him to lift their hand luggage etc into the overhead lockers, I suppose they thought it was beneath them to do it theirselves, needless to say I was livid but my husband told me not to make a fuss and then to top it all when we landed they called the same steward and told him to get their stuff (handbags cardigans etc) out of the locker!!!!! I still have steam coming out of my ears just thinking about it.
I think I was on that flight myself, as I remember a similar trio who also had a couple of chaps with them who fetched and carried their luggage in the airport. I think they were "luvvies", I actually laughed at the use of the expression "one " a lot to the steward.
The Linford Christie bit can be quite amusing, as its nearly always the so called "poshest" who will do anything to get those desired seats. I basically quite like the speedy boarding though, and the dedicated check in at Gatwick was very handy.

Karen I was looking at that yesterday as my partner will be travelling with crutches.
Go onto the help pages then FAQ and there is a section there about crutches which leads to what to do if wheelchair assistance etc. is required.
The issue of special assistance is definately not to be found in the booking screens.
