Hi I received my tickets the other day and I was quite surprised that there were no tags to go with my tickets. They are usually inside the booklet. I booked with Direct Holidays part of the Thomas Cook group and I went with Thomas Cook last year and I had those little tags to put my name on to attach to my suitcase. I think I might be a little bit of a drama queen.

Thomas cook don't give luggage tags anymore, in fact they don't give much of anything anymore.

Stuart,
All cases are labelled with electronic labels, bar code and sticks to the handle like glue.
You can of course always buy your own luggage labels for peace of mind

Stuart - Didn't get labels from TC last year or this year. Think they tell you that in with the tickets. We do make sure our cases have our address inside in case they get lost or as Maggy said buy your own. Happy hols.

If you really want luggage labels then go on the Holiday Truths website and there is a tool where you can print your own labels. We have done this for the past 2 holidays and it certainly helps your case stand out on the carousel! I know the official barcodes, etc are sufficent but I am old fashioned enough to want my name and hotel on the label in case it goes astray.

We always recognise our cases in the UK,the smell of broken bottles of Ouzo can be smelt from Manchester to Liverpool!

Maggy - in 15 years of going to Greece, Richard has never yet had a breakage, this year we successfully brought back in the cases 3 x 1.5 litre bottles of the stuff!!

Hi, just got back and we were with Thomas Cook. It is true that the labels are electronic now, I was worried at first but all OK as our flight had to unload 75 cases due to weight and wind direction. One of ours out of four was unloaded and it is on its way back to us (no labels, just Thomas Cook electronic thingy).
