I have to make do with reading all the wonderful posts on this site until I get my annual fix of Corfu at the end of August. (Hopefully as Mum has been diagnosed with cancer in various places, so we may have to cancel, but if she feels as well as she does now, we will be there)

Hi Lymmbo, sorry to hear your mums not well, we were in the same situation last year with my father in law, we didn't know whether to cancel or not. In the end it was all okay and he is now well on the road to recovery. I hope all goes well for your family, my motto has always been 'one day at a time', and it does seem to help. Thank you for all your good wishes, they are much appreciated. Mum goes to see the specialist on the 19th August, so if she is still well after seeing him, we hope to come and if she takes a backwards step whilst we are away, then we will just have to come home early, or rely on my brother going to help her, but somehow it is not the same as a daughter, or am I being biased.
Either way, we do hope to get our annual fix, and for those of you who remember the old days, I don't mean the Beer!!!
