My apartments were changed at short notice due to overbooking, but when my accommodation vouchers arrived today they still show the original apts instead of the new ones. I phoned the tour operator who said they couldn't get it changed, and that it was normal for this to happen so it would be fine. My worry is that I arrive in Corfu and our apartments refuse to take us. Anyone had this happen before?

Who is your tour operator? You could ask them to fax or email you something in writing to show the correct accomodation details.

Tour operator is co-operative travel, they have been most unhelpful- they just keep saying they can't do anything about it as they booked through hotels4u (who won't deal with me because it was booked through co-op). I do have an invoice with the correct details which I'll take with me just in case. I just can't see why it's such a big problem for them to email me an ammended voucher, but apparently it "can't be done".

Hi Corfucalling,
I work for the co-operative travel here in Bolton. You only actually need the invoice showing the correct accommodation booked, this acts as your travel ticket. I cant see any reason why they are being most unhelpful with you at all,its very easy and simple to change your details over on the system and they have the invoice from the tour operator so I dont understand what the problem is there. You will be fine with the invoice though.............trust me

Thanks for that Jackie, I just had visions of arriving late in the evening and being turned away from our apartments! I'll chill now and just look forward to going

Well, just got back from Sidari, and guess what? We arrived at our apartments at 9pm only to be told that they knew nothing about us! Not only that, they only deal through First Choice, so Co-op couldn't have booked them for us.
Thankfully the apartment owner was very kind, gave us the number of the local agent (he'd had others with the same problem the week before). She told us we had been moved to "very nice apartments a few metres away". So we had to walk with our luggage the extra 400m to the other apartments which were a disaster.
These new apartments held pool parties 3 times during our stay, when 5 coachloads of Slovenian youths took over the pool area for hours with raucous games etc. Then there was the owner's son who thought it was fun to turn the music up at 2 or 3am. Not the quiet family holiday I had been looking forward to. And that's not to mention the numerous other problems with the apartments.
We had a great holiday anyway, as we spent as little time there as possible, but beware anyone who wants to book this way. I spent ages searching for apartments and checking out reviews, but was basically given an "allocated on arrival"
