A Geordie who I know, and is in Kassiopi right now, was getting € 1.17 yesterday there. Have a look at Kassiopi board.

Alec.

What is a flex account? I am always upset losing money, but the way the exchange rate is rising, I will be quite happy by the 01st of July.

Its a current account offered by Nationwide. One of the benefits of the debit card with this particular account is that it offers withdrawals from ATMs in Greece (and some other european countries) at the interbank rate and without any transaction, admin or commission charges. A member posted the other day that it is not quite as easy to open one as it used to be - a minimum deposit per month is now required.

Check out details of the Nationwide Flex account on Martins Lewis' site - Monery Saving Expert.
If you can open one, I highly recommend it.
Cheers

Hi,

I have done this, but there seems like quite a lot of negative comments about the service the Nationwide provide.

I am quite picky when it comes to good customer services, and don't like to be treated poorly.

What kind of service have you received?

Regards,

Scouse

In Sidari at Value plus it is 1.17 minus 2% commision so for 100 pounds you will receive 114.66 euros.

Hi all,

The exchange rate is flying up here today in Cardiff. I got mine at 1.145 which is quite good considering.
