Hi B&M,it is the loss of all those olive trees and the cutting in two of several little tracks, and i also think it makes your village more easy to find. Our friends in Perivoli dont like it, because it is now dangerous and they have had quite a few serious accidents and it is now quite bad trying to cross the road for the locals going to their small farms on the other side. So for me its ruined a lovely area. lorac.

Are there still rumours of a new airport near to Lefkimi, We first heard of this on our intial visit to Corfu in 1976, but had assumed that the idea had been abandoned.

Mind you we also heard that Benitses was going to have a marina for about 10 years, and low and behold they eventually made one.

I do hope the airport does not get moved to the south, as it will spoil so many villages and make the journey to the north horrendous.

Keep the south quiet

Hey Brian you have finaly got your wish, more visitors to the south! Hip Hip Hooray!

We have just booked. Flying from Manchester with Easy Jet and saved ourselves at least £400! Hannah's got her own seat too and still saving the money.......and my sanity, don't have to worry about disturbing the 3rd person we have to sit with if she's on my knee!

Love to you and Maureen
Amanda xx
