Hi there. I have booked a holiday in Corfu and I am hoping someone could tell me the most reasonable rental place on the island. Cheers

hi there are a few good ones on the island, this year we found value plus the cheapest for the type of car we wanted but be carful take a copy of your email with you, as we forgot to take ours with us, and my husband payed another 40euros for extra ins that i had already payed for, not realising it, so be carfull with who ever you book with, but i have booked with them before and never had any trouble their cars are very good and new, there is also top cars they are very good as well used them last year as they were the cheapest the the car we wanted then had no trouble with them and their cars were new as well, it pays to shop around as you can find the car you want will be a different price with each company so dont just pick the first one you see, all deliver to airport or hotel as well, we are going back in October and i'm looking around now for one, hope this helps, even if a bit long winded

Hi
You can always get good deal in any resort if you are good at bartering and approach the hirers with a friendly smile, tell em you don't care if bumper bar is missing etc (only made a mistake on that once when car had a petrol leak that came inside but guy sorted it pretty fast).

One of best on internet is economy car rentals, they seem to poll all the companies on Corfu to get best price at any one time.

muffy,
You mention Value Plus.....I have a quote from them, but their website is rather confusing. Do you know if their price includes full insurance? (one bit seems to say they do, but another tells you the extra charge for it).
Just thought that if you'd used them in the past, you'd likely knkow xx

Also try Excel Cars in Kassiopi, they do airport deliveries, or villa deliveries etc....most importantly their insurance is very good and very clear about what you are covered for. Sorry ecotrails but i dont understand how anyone would consider a car with bits missing, says a lot about the company, maintainence and safety of the vehicle from everyone's point of view, passengers and the general public!! Personally I'd rather pay a bit more for something decent.

We've used Excel cars in Kassiopi. Very reliable, no hidden extras and most important they do not ask for credit card details to be left with them as assurance.

if you want a good and reliable car rental use www.carrentalcorfu.com

The company is called "Top Cars" and its based in corfu town but i think he rents to everyone and anyone.

Email: info(at)topcars.gr or use his website and he will give you a quote back on your email.

He is very helpful and also speaks perfect english.

Thanks

Trace, don't book on the net with Value Plus, instead use the e mail option, give your details etc,and Sophia will respond very quickly with a break down of everything you require. No Money upfront!if you don't like whats on offer, try another company. We've used Value Plus many times, and are using them again for the 6 weeks duration from Aug to Oct

Have to agree with Sandra - we always use Excel in Kassiopi and have never had anything but first class service.
