Does anybody have any idea of the location of the Mystery Photo in my Gallery ? It was taken approx 1.1/2 hours out from Birmingham en-route to Kefalonia. Looks like a huge circular road with a racing circuit in the middle ?

Maybe one of the Italian motor companies test ring and circuit in the middle? Ferrari or Fiat maybe?

Possibly San Marino but thought that was a bit further inland.

Have you looked at Google Earth for the eastern coast of Italy?

Well done!

Wikipedia says...
"Nardō Ring, Nardō is located in the southern Italian region of Apulia, in the province of Lecce. It is used as a test track for high speeds. At 12.5 km (just under 7.8 miles) and perfectly round, it is banked at such a degree that a driver often need not turn the wheel while driving. In essence, the driver drives as if in a straight line. Some extremely fast cars do require the steering wheel to be turned for example the Koenigsegg CCR which set a speed record for a production car at the Nardō Ring with the wheel at 30°. This record has since been beaten by the Bugatti Veyron, however the CCR holds the speed record for the Ring. For safety reasons, motorcycles are not permitted. There has only been one fatality at the ring."

think thea may be right about a motor company's test circuit.
Whatever it is it's down in the heel of Italy south west of Taranto, with a lot of places around it called Masseria.....

Masseria is a manor farm according to online translation.
