Our favorite taverna /restaurant in Avliotes,is Georgeos and Lleas's ,good menu nice wine lovely views and really nice brothers ,the wives do the cooking,it's on the main road in the village, above the very large car park. There are also 2 hairdressers,a chemist a cash machine, outside of the chemist, and a few very real Greek corner shops and bars, they do a really  nice snack type food at lunch time as well,or when ever you want it!     Enjoy!

Illias is one of my favorite places to eat in Corfu...sitting under the vines...sampling the wonderful food...enjoying a glass of Retsina...all this while watching the daily goings on of village life...hey you know you're on holiday.

At night the busy Kafenion opposite is a lively distraction from watching the youngsters playing football in the village square cum churchyard cum car park.

Glad we agree Eileen,it's a great place to be isnt it!last year the patio dining area wasn't busy ,just me and Mr on it,as there was a party ,celebration going on inside, the children of the party people where outside with us ,as well as  Lleas's youngest daughter entertaining us good style playing chirades, the cakes and the drinks kept appearing  from someone indoors.

Mr M and son went for a meal in Georgeos this week ,they are having the patio dining area enlarged, very posh
