Well I got my answer from Cavalieri ... they want 90 euros/night with breakfast. Too rich for my blood (and pocketbook). When I am in Corfu, I will walk past it and perhaps go inside to see what I "think" I am missing :-)

Wow, I think that "half board" is the way to go ... I will aim for that ...

We booked the Corfu Holiday Palace Hotel for the 3 nights in February ... twin/double room Inland, half board for 106.13 (pounds) which included a credit card fee... Considering this includes both breakfast and dinner, we are happy with the price and, I am sure, we will be happy with the accommodations.

We leave for Greece (Athens) on January 16 and return to the US on February 26 ... I am taking my laptop to Greece and, hopefully, I will be able to post a review of our stay at The Palace Hotel. I can hardly wait to see Corfu or, for that matter, more of the country besides the big city and my husband's village.

Again, thanks for all your help. Wonderful board, wonderful people!!!

Gloria,

Glad to hear you'll be visiting Corfu this winter. Another US citizen. It's good you paid for your hotel when you did, the dollar has really tanked the past few weeks. We've got our reservations, but we have not paid for our lodgings and I guess we'll be paying more then when we made the reservations last spring.

Anyway, hope you enjoy your trip. We're going at Christmas time and are really looking forward to it!
