Just been on the thomson website and they are advertising flights from Glasgow to Corfu from the 4th June 2008. Can't find any earlier than that.

They are flying out of Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds from the 2nd May.

Thanks for that Sandra, I will have a look.  We were trying to take advantage of a cruise and stay, this may still be possible as the ship doesn't leave till 6th June.

Annie.

Hi Sandra

I have just had a look at Thomson website but can't find the flight you are talking about.  Can you send a link please.

Annie

I had a look and couldn't find it either......It's still later than we'd have liked, but better than nearer the end of June

It's so annoying how the TO's decide where we go on holiday, we were out in mid May from Glasgow this year and are off again the school holiday week 15th October but have to go from Newcastle. Flight prices were working out quite expensive so for the first time in years have booked a package with Direct Greece and got a real bargain, however we would still go independant given the choice. Unfortunately that choice is being taken away from us.

FIRST CHOICE FLY FRIDAY TO CORFU, ALBEIT A RED EYE FLIGHT. NEXT YEAR FIRST CHOICE TO CORFU ARE SHOWING THE CARRIER AS THOMSONFLY WITH THE FIRST FLIGHT ON 13TH JUNE.MAKING IT HARDER EACH YEAR, DO YOU THINK THEY WANT US TO GO ELSEWHERE OR IS IT A FINANCIAL DECISION? ANYTIME I HAVE GONE IN MAY THE FLIGHTS HAVE BEEN ALMOST FULL. MAKES YOU WONDER WHAT THEY ARE PAYING THE APARTMENT OWNERS,AND FOR WHAT PERIOD.

We have previously always gone with thomsons but this year went thomas cook and the flight was brill and only an hour later than the usual thomsons.  Okay its a monday instead of a friday but in flight service was a lot quicker, we would definately go with them again, especially now if wanting an early break.  Not fair on scots by thomsons

Sorry to take so long replying Annie and Trace(had the grandchildren out for the day).

I have just been back into the thomson website and it's not showing the 4th June from Glasgow now. As you have said they are now showing as starting from 13th. It was definitely there when I looked this morning.

Because of what you had said in your thread  I searched the package holidays from Manchester for the begining of May (when I usually go) these showed up as starting on the 2nd of May.

Out of interest and the fact they are flying from Manchester at the begining of May, I then looked at Glasgow and starting the search from May to find the first available flight. Unless I am loosing the plot (which is a possibility) I'm sure it showed the 4th.

Hope this makes sense when you read it.

Sandra

Last few years we've flown XL from Glasgow, but that is for a Monday flight which isn't always suitable - don't know about next year but our flight in Sept is v. early in morning.

Used to always go Britannia which is now?Thomsons, but then XL seemed better for timing.
