We are looking around for flights for next year, but don't seem to be having much sucess.

We are looking to be going at the end of May, flying from Manchester or even other northern airports. Are we looking too early?? I am trying to find a bargin obviously and i was under the impression that the earlier you booked the better the price? Or am i wrong.

Can anybody tell me who flys to corfu? I thought i had heard that there is a now a low cost airline doing direct flights.

Any help would be appreciated, we have never booked a holiday individually we have always gone through an operator, but we have been to roda a few times now and know where everything is and what to expect so going it alone does'nt seem so daunting now.

Thanks in advance

Amanda

XL are usually the cheapest from Manchester and if you do a google for a promotional code, you can often get a few quid off the standard price.

Other airlines flying form Manchester at the moment are Flyjet, Monarch, My Travel, Thomas Cook and Thomsonfly, but as Thomas Cook have now taken over My Travel, that'll probably mean one less next year.

Have you considered using Liverpool Airport? Thomson have one flight a week on Fridays, departing  7.25 am and landing back home at about 3.15pm  so they're very respectable timings and the outward flight gets you into Corfu in time for a late lunch!

Here's the link:

http://www.thomsonfly.com/en/index.html?ico=global_nav_flights

The first flight out in May 2008 will cost about £238 per person, inclusive of all taxes.

It's very easy to book directly using their website.

Flyjet are not available for Direct bookings as they are chartered by other airlines, this year we flew with Thomsonfly and paid £241 for two of us for 14 nights...though the price had been reduced and went up 2 days after booking so its worth looking at their site every other day or so. If you have the luxury.. book a single flight out and then a single one back from Corfu, the flights are usually very much cheaper!

Dave.

Hi Lorraine

Booked on the same flight. £292 return for two, including all taxes. Thought this was a good price. All we need to do now is sort out accomadation. Any suggestions on reasonably priced accomadation, with pool, in Kassiopi would be most welcome. I could then check them out on my next trip in September.

Ditto Loraine, We're off in Sept/Oct as well. Will take the opportunity to look for accomodation then. Been with tour operators for the last two years but decided to go independant next year. Enjoy your hols.
