For all those wanting to know when the buses SHOULD run - this link will provide the timetable for Corfu. Don't forget it's on GMT (Greek Maybe Time) so be at the bus stop early and expect the bus to be late.

Suggest you print it off and take it with you.

Hi Corfiotbabe

I have only seen the blue and green buses. I can't remember seeing any red ones, i might be wring though.

The blue bus goes from Corfu Town to Ipsos passing through Gouvia and Dassia. I am not sure where exactly the green bus goes although some go down south of the island and near Kassiopi i think.

As it says on the tin

Blue ones are local to Corfu Town and

Green ones are Country and Long Distance

Just like to add the following pointer in relation to the link. It states you have to purchase your tickets before getting on the bus from various locatons. We have always purchased our tickets actually on the bus, and you do not have to by a return. Well that at least is the case on the No7 bus, Kontokali to Corfu Town. It is a good service, not necesarily on time, but near enough, and at the frequency according to the time table. It is quite an experience really, specially if you have to stand, hanging off the wrist straps.

Go by bus if you can.

Best Wishes.

Hi Sailor

We always pay for our tickets while on the bus. Infact i was not aware you were meant to pay before boarding the bus until i read the link.

Are the buses regular?  With the Olympics do you suggest buying before getting to Corfu? A little nervous about getting a seat on the bus.

Hi Eve

Do you mean for bus journeys to Corfu Town etc or buses to Athens for the Olympics?

Hi there.

The buses to Athens, via the ferry, are I believe, one a day there and one back. The journey takes virutally all day. I know the Athens to Corfu leaves in the morning early, and gets to Corfu Bus Station late evening. I will see if I can find some information that confirms this

Best Wishes
