Hi Phil(Hellene)
I remember the mouse Topo Giggio too, and all the others too, some of which were still going when my son, who is now 30 was little and we used to watch them together. I remember my daughter being particularly keen on Pingu the Penguin which was another great programme. Then of course there was Tony Hart and his pictures, and Morph. I believe that he is was the first character that came out of the Aardman company, the creators of Creature Comforts. The people who invented Wallace and Grommit.
I suppose one good thing about getting older, we can see how some areas of content and production in television/cinema have improved. I can remember as a relatively small child when we got our first TV, and it was very definitely grainy black and white!
I know this thread first started about Big Brother, just wondered what people's views are about REALITY TV in general. It seems that a fair proportion of time each day is set aside for Reality TV. I have read one or two articles recently from people in the business saying they thing the 'bubble' is about to burst. I know a little about that area of TV as my son has worked in it - not BIG BROTHER I hasten to add, but he has worked on similar programmes.
