What about duty frees, i.e. perfume/alcohol bought in the airport? or do these not count as liquid?

Unless you're flying to the US, then you can take on board anything purchased after you've passed though security.

It's the stuff you try to take through security checks that are restricted.

PS. We don't get duty free going to Corfu

Thanks Trace..I usually treat the girls to perfume and buy it on the way out..Gin etc can and is bought in the local supermarket. Is perfume cheaper in Corfu and do you get it Corfu town?..Sorry gone off the thread a bit!

I don't know about others, but I wouldn't buy perfume in resort, I'd either buy it in Corfu town or at the airport (really only incase it's been lying on a warm shelf a bit too long).

Doesn't your departure airport have a buy and collect service?

Anything that you purchase at the airport, including the perfume and drinks from the shops in the departure lounge can be collected on your return to the UK.

It saves you carting some heavy stuff back and forward to Corfu.

I haven't heard of that but what a good idea. Thanks for the tip. I shall ask next time I go, I would think that an airport as big as Newcastle would do it.
