Hi Catmandoo ,

Welcome to the CTG.......How big is your boat ? This will help us advise on the options available to you .

Gouvia marina keeps boats in water or on hard standing , but is not cheap .

Harris from Kalami stores boats in his yard near San Stephanos........

When we know the size of the boat we can make further recommendatios and give you some contact numbers

Regards..J&H

Catmandoo - Try Gouvia, have friends who keep their yacht there permanently, lots of space ashore and good facilities   We're looking to put a boat there for next summer as a base, the marina staff are friendly and there are workmen available for any repairs etc.  Apparently there is an English guy on site who is a good Marine Engineer and a German called Klaus who keeps an eye on your boat and any small repairs or preparation you need.

Good Luck!

John & Hillary - Just read your post - who is Harris from kalami and how do you contact him?  We are going out to stay in Kalami on the 22 Sept , we're going to look at yachts and houses (ruins!) to use as a base until we can relocate permanently.  Any help would be appreciated!

Hi

Harris (trading as North East Boat Storage) has two sites - one on the right of the road down to San Stephanos and the other on the road between Avlaki and Michaelangelo resort village. Next door to this facility is another operated by Phillipos Boats from Kassiopi. Note that these are shore facilities for trailable boats - there are no lifts or direct access to the sea.

If you are looking for yachts, the best bet is to try Gouvia Marina (which, so far as I am aware, has the only boat lift on the island) or either of the yacht clubs which are next to the Old Fort in Corfu town.

Beat me to it Martyn ...I don't have a contact number for Harris , perhaps if you pm Nathan he will have a number somewhere .

Liffyb ,

As Martyn suggests , Gouvia is really the only place to find a yacht to live aboard.......................Does this English marine engineer you mention happen to be David Nash ??

Boat is a Catfisher catamaran about 9 metres long by 4 metres wide . Would need a lift or a transporter or both to get out of water

Then as per previous posts , you will need to go to Gouvia .

Contact them via email for rates          gouvia(replace with an 'at')medmarinas.com

Regards....J&H

There are a few boatyards near to the new port in Corfu town , but as yet , because of other commitments we have not had the time to investigate .
