HI THERE IS A NICE BEACH SOUTH OF CORFU TOWN AND ALSO AT THE SOUTH END OF THE SPANDA WHERE THE YACHTS ARE THERE ARE PLENTY OF BEACHES TO CHOOSE FROM SOME REALLY NICE ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY

I would not recomend you any beaches in Corfu town but you can visit glyfada that is 20min of Corfu town Kontogialos and Gialiskari.If you want to try something in Corfu go to Mon repo or Kardaki

Yes, Mon Repos (around the bay from Corfu Town, in Garitsa) is not bad. The official beach right in town is Alekos Beach at Falikraki (below the Palace.) Be warned, when a big boat goes by the waves soak everybody's towels! There are small charges to enter both Alekos and Mon Repos. Of course people swim off the shore here and there all around the bay. You can also take a boat from the port to Vidos Island, there are several beaches there.

You can swim in the Corfu town (Faliraki and Mon Repos beaches) or in Vidos island, but I recomment Dassia or Benitses, where you can go by urban-bus from Corfu town every half hour or so.

But Corfu island has a lot of magnificent beaches, explore it!

Kondokoli beach (in Kondokoli) is quite nice and too far from town about 10 minutes or so in the car.
