If they are on the wine lists where ever you are, look for Erofili, Malvicino or Oinou Mythos, all Medium Sweet White wines. There is another that we like, but is slightly sweeter, and is called, Samos Muscat Kourtakis.

For more wines, and other goods click on the Greek Wine Store in my signature.

Yeiamas, Chris.

Call me glutton for punishment but We just stick to the village wines or the dreaded Retsina!  Cant stand the stuff when in the UK but seems to go down a treat while in Corfu.

Madness I know but we are addicted!!!!!

If you want a nice bottle definitely go for the Boutari range they are well worth the extra money

I found Calliga in the supermarket in Sidari. I brought a couple of the rose home for my birthday in August.

The Ruby is nice too, I can't remember if I saw any of it though.

Any of Kef's white Robola's are usually ok too.

The smoothest white wine we had on Corfu was a locally made one which I immediatley forgot the name of (can't do lunchtime drinking any more).  I never saw it on any of the menu's but Nathan might be able to tell you the name, I think it was Ritsos or Pitsos or something similar.

Hi Chris,

That Greek Wine that I had down in Bournemouth on the Greek weekend...Don't suppose you would remember what it was would you ..I know you were sitting three tables away but thought you may have seen it being brought to my table..It tasted like a  honey pot.I do remember it being Samos.

Must have some in Kassiopi in a couple of weeks if you can remember Chris..otherwise I'll have to try them all.

To anyone wondering why I can't remember it's because I had already had a few shorts.

Bruce.

PS.. Or anybody else who was there that glorious night and can tell me

I seem to remember being able to get hold of Calliga easily in Rhodes, but have not found it readily available on Corfu. We normally ordered something from the Boutari range if available. If not we drink the house red and normally after the second or third it tastes like nectar

Hi Bruce,

Here to help a friend. The Samos you were drinking, was it white or red. Let me know, and I will go through my wine list for you, and get back to you post haste.

Yeiamas, Chris.
