Hello everyone!
Thank you so so much for your comments + sharing your experiences, that is so nice :)

So the rain in summer is more like short term rain, not like whole day/days dark sky and lots of rain? Yeah, I was lead to believe the weather is very rainy and the whole sky is covered with dark clouds and no sun shine in days... So I was thinking "nooo, that's not nice beach weather". Happy to hear I was wrong :)

Thank you all :)

We are no longer so worried about the rain situation :)
It is relief to hear that the rain is more like shor term rain :)

Hi Jone

Just to add our little bit, we have lived here now for almost 5 years and yes we have seen rain in mid season (June/July). Our first home used to back on to the Pegasus hotel which had a lovely pool. One day the heavens opened, extreme thunder and lightning. However, whilst most people made a dash for cover, those that knew the rain stayed in the pool.

The "storm" only lasted about 20 minutes, the rain was lovely and warm, but the best part about it was the wonderful fresh smell everywhere after the rain when the sun came out again.

Hello Mac Corfu :)
Thank you for your info.

It sounds so amazing, the rain last only short time and after that there is sunny sky :) So did I understand right: there is sunny sky...but suddenly there can be clouds + rain, and soon the rain is over and the sun will be shining? Sorry if asking silly things :)

ITs fun when it rains, me and letha used to play in it in our PJ's. During high season i don't recall it raining much, but if it did it was only in short blasts then it was lvoely and hot again.

Hi Jone

Yes, it can rain at any time of the year - usually associated with southerly winds but in June or July is will only last for a short while.

From the middle of August, the weather can change at any time, but again this is usually related to the southerly winds which bring heavy cloud and then rain/thunderstorms.   However, the cloud builds up over a few days, so you get plenty of notice!

As Clarie_L says it is great.  When you are there for the whole summer it is cloudburst happiness!  I know people say oh but we are on holiday and its not fair but my answer is always if you had no rain at all it wuld not be such a green island.

I love it the way it is and believe me after 5 months in the summer there is enough sun to keep us all happy.  Bit more in January/Feb  wouldn't go a miss but hey!  And when I get back on 4th April it should be warm and sunny but not hot of course.  Looking forward to Easter and being 'home'

Nat

I have to say a couple of years ago we had two full days of rain when on holiday in July... and we had to put our cardies on!   I don't think that normally happens though

Ok :)
Thanks again very much for infi + helping out :)

Martyn G said "Yes, it can rain at any time of the year - usually associated with southerly winds...".

So does this mean, north side (Sidari, Ag, Stefanos, Acharavi) of the island is more dry and south side (Barbati, Nissaki, Benitses...) is more rainy + more green?
