Hi there.

Firstly, welcome to the Corfu Travel Guide. We hope you can find for yourself, or from others the information you need to make your holiday one to remember.

Nissaki is situated on the North East Coast of Corfu, and is really classed as a village, but a wonderful village it is to. However, there is not a lot to do there in particular for the youngsters and the teenagers in a family. Having said that, the resorts of Kassiopi and Ipsos are not to far a distance away, and if you intend on hiring a car, would be easily accessabil as requried. More information can be obtained from the link below. Where will you be staying.

Places to visit. The island of Corfu has many attractions including Waterparks at Aqualand (see link), the Achilleon Palace (see link), and of course Corfu Town itself. All being a must particularly on your first visit.

You can book trips either through your Holiday Rep, or from the local Travel Office, Falcon Travel. The latter more than likely being cheaper. Trips and excursions can be taken by coach or boat. Most prefer the boat experience. One trip being a Beach BBQ, which is a must. Trips to Corfu town can be organised also. Good for shopping with many wares, both touristy, and those special buys. Leather goods, Jewellry is prevalent in Corfu. You can also choose one of the many Restaurants and Tavernas for an evening meal before getting back on the coach or boat and returning to Nissaki. Take a rest and a drink on the Liston in town, and watch the world go buy.

If we can be of anymore help, please do let us know.

Yammas, Chris.

We've been going twice a year now for about 18 yrs. Thre was very little there at that time for our daughters who were 15 + 16 at the time, but they loved it!Much more for them now I would think, although I don't know Nissaki at all. The island itself though is stunning. The Achilleon Palace is gorgeous( featured in a James Bond film but can't remember which one). Gardens/view out of this world! Mouse Island/ Ponti Konnissi are gorgeous and worth a visit, even if only to watch the planes coming in over the water! You HAVE to see Paleokastritsa and the monastery there, again stunning views! Also, if you hire a car and get off the beaten track, visit some of the villages that the tour buses don't go to and meet the local people. For us, we keep going back to Sidari, not for the place, because Sidari itself is nothing spectacular, but for the Greek families we became friendly with that first year! We/they have always kept in touch. Every time we go back it's like going home and as if we'd never been away. You'll see - as soon as you get through the first few days, you'll be hooked. Good luck and ENJOY!!! Moyra + Dennis   P.S. LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THINK WHEN YOU GET BACK!
