MY LOCAL CORNER SHOPS BEEN SELLING IT FOR ABOUT 10YEARS SO WHAT IF ITS 15 POUNDS FOR 70 MLS BETTER TO HAVE A MEMORY OF GREECE THAN TO HAVE TO DRINK SOME FRENCH RUBBISH AND HAVE NO MEMOURIES OF THE ISLAND ..... HAPPY DAYS ...

Our Greek friends all prefer the5* to the others. Personally I don't care because I don't like brandy! but then again I'm a Scot who doesn't like whisky!! and neither does my husband, I suppose that makes us weirdos!!!As an alternative to Greece, have you ever come to Scotland?!The weather might not be so good, but the atmosphere is fab! Bruce, how did you manage to get so many bottles back home with you? They embarrassed the life out of me at Corfu airport with the dreaded scanners, made me empty out all my dirty washing in front of all those crowds to get to where \i had buried my several bottles of ouzo (for hubby) and Metaxa (for me). Apparently they just want to check they've not been opened so any hints as to how you avoided that, pass'em on!

Great to hear you're still off the dreaded weed.....marvelous bruce! and you too Bobbo, well done everyone!

What you need is children, grandchildren and their friends ( all over 18 years of age) who will put a bottle in their bags for you...Thats why we always take plenty of them on holiday with us just so they can bring my Metaxa back for me (only joking but they do come in handy).won't have to worry about cigarettes next year so will have more room for a couple more bottles of Metaxa.

Yes Boobbo, that was my understanding, but have had the experience at corfu airport as detailed earlier, it does make you wonder, are we really able to tke as much as we think????

Hi Folks, I know how to get 3 cratefuls of Metaxa home!!!!! Drive to Corfu it's a wonderful experience and so easy to carry the Metaxa. However don't go over the recommended customs limit or you might loose your car!!
