Hi Tania

I've never come across one but I stand to be corrected!

I think you will find it is called Greckos Fish Restaurant. Anyway it is situated on the main road through Kontokali, just down from the AB Supermarket, in the direction of Corfu Town.

Hopefully I am right in one way or another.

Yammas, Chris.

I bet they dont serve sushi,

I cant imagine much else more distastefull than sushi, and yes I have tried it on more than one occasion in the homes of Japanese folk that actually made it for us, not from M&S.

I've been fed fresh live clams, scollops, mussels and little winkle things in Corfu (during Lent), none of which is to my taste, but politeness prevailes, and after a few glasses of local wine ones inhibitions dwindle.

But all this was prefferable to sushi, in spades.

And from a very personal point of view, the Japanese desire for miniscule pieces of fish in their diet, for those that can afford it,  does'nt justify the so called scientific slaughter of dolphins and whales with modern electronic methods of detection.

Bob.

Hi,Sailor,it's not the one I'm thinking of,this one is in the main street in Gouvia, not far past the chinese,on the right, heading north. There is always a notice outside, inviting you in to see the fish on offer. It lays back from the road, about 50 yards, bobbo

Sorry Bobbo, I know where you are now, but I am afraid I do not know the name of the place. I will see if I can find out through the internet and post later.

Yammas, Chris.

Hi Tania

Please remember that you are going to a small Greek island and although cosmopolitan, don't expect it to be like London when it comes to international cuisine.

Greeks are much more insular when it comes to cuisine and prefer Greek food rather than foreign stuff.

Anyway, why would you like to go all the way to Corfu to then have to dine out on Sushi; just doesn't make sense!!!

Anyway, having said that, I hope you find what you are looking for.

Hi Bobbo, Chris. I know the restaurant to which she refers although the name escapes me at present. Anyway......We ate twice there this year and whilst the food is superb, sadly, they do not serve Sushi !!

Regards. Andy and family.
