Hello all,

We are going to Barbati on 17th October for 2 weeks...
Any info on good eating places that are still going to be open, if not in Barbati itself maybe nearby.
Have never been to Greece quite as late as this but if previous October holidays are anything to go by then we will have good weather and a quiet time.

Julie & Mike

Hi Julie & Mike

I think some of the restaurants/bars will be closed in Barbati by that time if business has tailed off but there's always Ipsos back towards Corfu town or Kassiopi the other way if you want something busier. But if you just want peace and quiet I'm sure you'll be okay in Barbati, fingers crossed the weather will be okay. The beach at Barbati is beatiful and even more so when its peaceful.

I'll be in Kalami from the 14th.

Hope you have a great time.

Alison

Will see if the Carytides is open, thank you

Looking forward to 2 weeks peace and quiet and to exploring the island, we were there for the last week in september first week october last year in Paleo which was lovely in the evening when the coaches had gone.

I expect we will find somewhere to eat, even the locals must go out for dinner so late in the season!

HI JULIE AND MIKE

Just arrived back in England after a superb holiday in Barbati. We were under the impression that most of the bars, restaurants and tavernas would be open until the end of October.Michalis is correct in saying that the Caryatides is a very good restuarant(lamb kleftico superb),but on the second night we discovered Odyssia 2001.Owned by Lefteris the food is excellent(grilled feta magnifique)and i would not hesitate in recommending this restaurant to yourselves and if you dont go away with having a extreme soft spot for Aneta shame on you.During the day we found both the Riveria bar on the beach good for Greek salad(huge at 5 euros).I know you will enjoy your holiday like we did and we have already started planning next years holiday in Barbati.

Enjoy,i know you will, please say hello Lefteris and Aneta and happy holidays!!!

Hi there,

You lucky things- I would just love to go back to Corfu, but will have to wait until next summer.  Having fun browing the net for villas though.Barbati beautiful.  We stayed in Villa Barbarossa on the left hand side going toward Nissaki.  Beautiful villa with stunning views.  BEST PLACE TO EAT ODYSSIA 2001 - Lefteris is such a lovely welcoming man, and the food is fabulous especially the beef stifado and saganaki cheese.

He has apartments as well, so if you stay in an apartment, ask him for his prices for next year.  He is meant to be very reasonable.

Have a brilliant time -  kind regards - myra from north wales

hi myra/julie and mike

indeed lefteris has 5 studios and 1 apartment for rent.we were in barbati a couple of weeks ago and he offered us 1 for a very, very reasonable price.if by any chance you do get bored Tolis rent a car(opposite Harrys supermarket)is very cheap(jeep 50euros per day, small car 26 + discount for extra days)public transport in the area is very good but there is only one bus to corfu town at 11am and comes back at 4pm.odyssia 2001 needs no promotion, its exemplary service and food says everything.

again,enjoy!
