We have booked already to go to Stoupa on the mainland next July for 2 weeks and are probably going to return to Pefkos Rhodes in September. I would not want to go anywhere else now but Greece. I do hope their problems are sorted for them all one way or another.

Hiya Car864, I must admit that I have hesitated slightly about booking for next year. Hubby was making noises about looking elsewhere because of the uncertainty in Greece, and also the fact that things are a bit tight at home finance wise. I did a lot of searching and researched the resorts of different countries quite thoroughly. This only served to confirm the fact that I really do not wish to go anywhere else but Greece! Just booked for Petra in Lesvos for 16th June. Cant wait!!
Kajay,
We love Stoupa, where are you staying? Package holidays seem to be restricted to London airports at the moment, and it comes in quite expensive to go independently.

Probably not going next year as went this year and - I am so lucky - husband has just booked me to go to our friends in the USA in 2 weeks' time for a girlie week as I have been very down lately! I couldn't sleep last night!
But you never know, may book again for September!

We have booked for May and July, go for it car864 as for the state the Greek economy is in I think our economy is only a tad better with a recession just around the corner. Those lovely people in Corfu need our loyalty more than ever.

car864 we are booked for next June and several friends and other acquaintances locally are booked for August.
Yes there is uncertainty around, but that just meant we paid less for next years holiday than for this so why not join the rest of us and book now for 2012?

How did you book such a varied touring trip as that?

Hi Dennis, was a bit hard and still haven't sorted transport between islands yet. Will face that next year. Bought ticket one-way to Rhodes via jet2. Booked one-way home from Corfu via Easyjet. UK airport is Manchester. Then I booked accomadation on Rhodes, Kos and Roda, Corfu with Olympic. If I can't get ferries between Kos and Athens will fly, same as Athens to Corfu. Athens accomadation isn't booked as not sure of dates there yet. This is a trip I have been dreaming of since a young girl and because of circumstances with my husband's and my work next year I can fulfill this dream.

There is a ferry from Kos to Pireaus but it takes about 12 hours. Can't seem to get on the Aegean Air site at the moment to check flights but they do the Athens-Corfu leg in under an hour. They have a sale every couple of months and internal flights come out at under 50 Euros.
