Hi,

I intend to travel to Corfu (from London) next June but need to go overland as I hate flying! I've done the trip several times alone by train but this time would really like some company on outbound/inbound or both legs...could either do by train or drive to Venice and get ferry.

I need to be there to surprise my parents on their golden wedding anniversary (they'll be on holiday there) and would like to spend a minimum of 5 days on Corfu, possibly doing a sailing course, but am flexible about time taken and routes to get there. Ideally whole trip will be two weeks or under as I don't want to leave my cats for too long.

Is anyone travelling overland around those times who would be interested in a car share or travelling by rail?
If I don't find anyone who wants to make a roughly 2 week round trip of it then I'd be interested in getting in touch with different parties for each way?

I love Greece, speak a little Greek (am now doing evening classes to convert my O-level Ancient Greek and basic holiday vocab to something more concrete) and can't wait to get back to Corfu!! I have a car, and experience of driving abroad, so happy to share the driving and split expenses of course.
