Good luck with your planned move rodney, hopefully things will work out for you. One worrying thing is if you have been advised not to drive in the UK for medical reasons then surely for the safety of others in whatever country you should take the advice and not drive until you have the all clear!!..julesxxx

Hi Polly-Anna.
Thecorfiot post might be hard but true, what is the point in saying hi its great heir you could do what you like and get away with it when its getting harder to live heir all the time with the Greeks having a hard time to get by let alone sumone that gust hopes to find a Job then take his driving licence over heir.

I wish him all the luck in getting heir and living the life he hopes will be heir.

Ray.

I think you're right Ray.

It's harder now for us than when we moved here and we have a reasonable pension. It is very hard for Greeks to earn a living at the moment, let alone anyone who doesn't speak the language and who may end up scratching around trying desperately to make a living.

It would be have been an entirely different situation for us if we had had to work when we moved here. Whether we would have been able to find work is one thing. Whether we would have wanted to have worked long days in the summer with temperatures above 35 degrees is an entirely different matter.

Personally, I wouldn't have wanted to do it, but if that's what you want, then surely it's best to have the negative side as well as the positive from people who have made the decision before you.

I think people should know both sides, good and bad, before making such a life changing decision.

Trisa

Hi all, your comments are always appreciated good and bad. We are fully aware that it may just all go completely wrong, that is why I have asked so many questions because I like 100% pure facts. If it does not work then we are happy to come home, but if it does then... Winner! We have been saving for this for a while now, and have had many ideas. We are over in September and have visits lined up to views apartments and are in regular contact with some.
I did think as much for the driving over there. I am better now and have been since Christmas but my 'ban' so to speak runs out in January, and we plan on moving out in February/March next year.

Again thank you all for answering my questions, you have all been so kind.
