Can any residents in the Kassiopi area give me an idea of power cuts over the last 12 months? I am considering sending over a small generator to keep the pumps and lighting running in my property.
I did not notice many during my visits last year!

Basically roughly how many and the average duration.

Thanks for any answers in advance.

Hi Tommy

Not in Kassiopi itself but on the NW coast and I have lost count of the amount of power cuts we have had! Some for a few minutes, others for hours.. we didnt hesitate in bringing a generator with us and it has been invaluable to us. If you have the means to do so I would say bring it.

Hi tommyb

If you are taking one out then why not call Sparky somewhere on this forum, he could possibly install changeover switch etc.

Comes highly recommended."SPARKY" (Carl Perrin) who is an electrician based in Corfu

I can recommend these generators for being quiet but very powerful. It will run just about everything including some air conditioning units.
Super Silent Kipor generators

Perhaps the "offshore" windfarm may be the answer

Thanks everyone for the responses.

I am getting a 7000watt 8 hour run with Voltage regulator and a change over switch... I may well look up the electrician when I am over in April

cheers
