Note that, unless these companies have a presence in Greece, your purchases will be subject to UK VAT at 15% (except kids clothing). The UK VAT reverts to 17.5% on January 1st 2010 (under current legislation).

No Customs duty, though.

I've just received my order of jodphurs, riding boots etc from those nice people at Robinsons the equine and outdoor people in Wigan. OK, I grant you perhaps not quite so interesting as Selfridges, Fatface or Long Tall Sally, but thought I'd mention it!

Even with the cost of postage it worked out far less than the same items would have cost in Corfu.

So Bill

We just have to look for an eccentric English woman walking around in her jodphurs, riding boots and carrying a whip and then we know we have found you up in the villages

Oh good grief!!!!!

This could get worse... The jodphurs are two tone mauve and purple, and I ordered a matching riding crop and gloves. The boots meanwhile are black and shiny... hmmmm.

.... oh sorry...... I forgot to mention....

THEY'RE FOR MY KIDS VIV!!!!

And before you say anything, the two tone jodphurs aren't for the 12 year old son (he's got a bog standard beige pair) they're for the 8 year old daughter.
