Don't know where the BBC get their predictions - baywatcher

It's a good question Denise and a constant source of concern on this Site!! There was a brilliant post on this very point a few months ago which explained how the BBC always seemed to be at odds with everyone else.

As bevie says, stick with the forecasts which sound more appealing. It makes you feel better straightaway!

One thing is for sure. It will be a darn sight better on Corfu than here!!!

I'm with Bobbo - last September the weather was great for the two weeks we were there and hopefully it will be as good this year.

Although I could even cope with hazy/cloudy days - just get me away from all this rain/drizzle and cool weather.

Need some sun to warm my aching bones - quickly!!!! before I start to seize up altogether lol!!!

Well, I've just arrived back home today from two rather wonderful weeks in Sidari and it was certainly hot when I left this morning and had been for the last two weeks...

It has not rained here since early June and then just for half a day!!!!! I am sitting on the balcony now and the evening is wonderful, slight breeze which is lovely after a hot day. Certainly no sign here of any changes so far. Although some rain overnight would certainly be good for the gardens. So please be aware that everywhere, although still looking quite green in areas, is very dry. Be extra careful with ciggies, matches etc. dispose of very carefully because obviously there is risk of fires when the area has been hot for so long. Have great holidays.

Oh Mushypea please take me back with you.My bones and joints havnt stopped aching since I got back.didnt have a twinge when I was there apart from trying to get off the sun lounger think my body must have been melting into it.Realise I need to live in a warm climate to make my body plyable.Felt like a 20yr old when I was there feel like an very old 90yr old now even my toes ache Did my best to do a Shirley Valentine while I was there even Spiros in Mythos said I could do customer relations (waiting on tables)Hubby wouldnt let me stay.Thought he would be glad of the peace and quiet if I stayed.Oh well maybe next time will go on my own and just leave him a message on the kitchen wall.
