We have been coming to Corfu for the last 22years, for holidays, 2 or 3 times a year and finally took the plunge and realised our dream and purchased some land and are building a house. (Should be ready in April).

We have just discovered this wonderful website and have picked up numerous tips.

Please could anyone recommend a good way to transport a small amount of furniture from the UK.

Many Thanks

Paul & Claire

Use the search function for "mcjackson" or Mondial. These are the 2 favourite options for shipping from the UK to Corfu.

Hi Paul Claire, I used Mondial in Middlesex when I sent furniture etc over in September tel: 02088053344. Everything arrived at their warehouse here in Corfu and they then arranged for it be delivered to our home.

Hi Paul Claire. We have used both but I would make mcjackson your first port of call. He will deliver direct to your door whereas Mondial get it to the port and then you have to arrange transport to your home.

Good luck

hi  paul and claire like you we're in the process of moving to Corfu to live (eventually!!!) unfortunately we will have to wait a while longer the house is in the process of being built and as its one of four i think it may take a while plus we have five years to go before we retire until then it will be holidays for us for a while longer at least but we are already counting the months and like you've probably found out theres quite a lot to organise before we eventually join you lucky peeps even though we've still quite a while to go i've found the forum really helpful anyway good luck hope everything goes well.   jon

Hi Jon & Jan

When I said we were moving in April, It will be our home, but we have many commitments in the UK, which means we will also be around for at least another three years. The good thing about making a home in Corfu before you retire is that you can get to know a lot more about Corfu, especially out of season.

Thanks for your good wishes and good luck to you too.

Claire & Paul

I have used both and while both did the job i would always go with mcjackson for the door to door service and the personal touch.
