Greetings.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to travel around the island by bus, without having to first travel to Corfu town, before catching another bus elsewhere? If I'm in, say, Agios Gordios, and I want to get to Kavos in the south, do I have to get a bus back to Curfu town, then another bus to Kavos? There's no way of traveling between the two direct, other than a taxi? Same if I want to travel from Agios Georgios in the north, to Agios Gordios - there's no bus taking the coastal route direct?

I'm guessing it's taxis. Are they cheap enough to make buses unnecessary?

Thanks. Regards, Bidi.

Hi Bidi

Not an expert on the buses but I think you will find the answer is yes. I am sure you will receive loads of advice very soon.

If you drive, then although not cheaper you will certainly see a lot more of the Island

Enjoy your stay

Hi Bidi. We have had loads of recent posts about bus services on Corfu. If you look at the top of your page you will see a "looking glass" icon, click on that and it will take you to the search option where you can then search for all of the recent posts regarding Bus Travel/Timetables on Corfu.

Hope you find what you are looking for, if not, let me know!

Basically, the answer is that unless you are travelling certain routes north, or certain routes south, you will have to go via Corfu Town to get from the north to the south. This website has a good bus timetable page established, please check out the link below.

Regards, Minola.
