Don't let the local mosquitoes spoil your holiday! You can find a range of products kiosks and supermarkets on Kefalonia. Try the green coils which you burn like incense - these are suitable for al fresco dining. There are some lovely citronella candles available which produce a lemony aroma when lit and these keep the mosquitoes at bay - suitable for inside and outside use. At night time, plug in a bottle of mosquito repellent which is odourless to humans but anathema to mosquitoes. Rub your body with mosquito repellent when sitting outdoors and if all else fails, use a a soothing lotion to dab on the bite. It's worth bringing with you a tiny bottle of tea tree oil which is great for applying to mosquitoe bites.
