Living in Kefalonia Lakithra Village

Back to Top of Living in Kefalonia Lakithra Village PageThe village of Lakithra Kefalonia

Lakythra is a traditionally Greek village with a bakery, kafeneion, some tavernas and a few pretty churches. High in the hills above the Kato Livatho area there are spectacular panoramic rural and coastal views which inspired Lord Byron during his stay in Metaxata. The south-west beaches from Lassi to Lourdas are all easily accessible by car.
The appeal of Lakithra lies in its proximity to Argostoli town and local sandy beaches. There are fabulous rural and sea views and it has traditional village 'feel'. Although it is a sleepy village off season, unlike many of the tourist resorts it stays functional during the winter months which makes Lakithra an excellent choice of village in which to live.

Aenos and within 6 minutes from the island's capital - is the choice location for the construction of 6 deluxe apartments appropriate for permanent residence or holiday quarters.

Within the settlement boundaries are mini markets, tavernas, restaurants, bakery and pastry shop, etc. The international airport is only a few minutes' drive away.

Each floor has three apartments of approximately 65 sq. m. each, with one or two bedrooms.
The building has a lift to all floors, central heating, pre installation of air conditioning in every room, satellite and Greek TV, the potential for alarm pre installation and Italian kitchen furniture amongst other features. Lakithra is an ideal base for excursions and visits to any destination within the island. Some of Kefalonia's prettiest beaches are in the Lakithra vicinity including Avithos, Ai Helis and Ammes in Livatho and Makris and Platis Gialos in the direction of Argostoli. Other beaches, such as Karavados, Pessada, and Lourdas are only a short drive away.
