When Gentilini opened in 1984 it was the first boutique winery on the island. Here you will find wines that are complex and which develop with age, and are targeted at the sophisticated and discerning consumer in Greece and abroad. The winery and vineyards are near the village of Minies.
The winery is open for tours every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 17.30 until sunset from 1st June to 15th September or by appointment. The new Gentilini Shop is open for high season only - July and August for tasting and direct sales. Opening times 10.00 to 14.30 and 17.30 to 20.30 Monday to Saturday.

GENTILINI WINES

Robola of Kefalonia VQPRD
A fresh, citrusy, dry white wine. Complex, balanced and dry, with ripe citrus and mineral undertones and a long finish.

Gentiini Classico

Dry white wine made from Tsaoussi, Robola, Moschofilero and Sauvignon Blanc.
A perfectly balanced wine of developing complexity, excellent length, and creamy fruit with honeyed overtones on the finish.

Gentilini Fume

Dry white wine made from a 50/50 blend of organically grown Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The wine is cold fermented in new French barriques which results in a complex, sophisticated wine with hints of vanilla and peaches.

Gentilini Alto

Dry white wine made from organically grown Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
The wine is bottle-matured and full bodied, with delicate aromas of tropical fruits and grapefruit. It carries the unique character of the estate's special climate and 'terroir'

Gentilini Syrah

Dry red wine made from organically grown Syrah and Mavrodaphne.
Deep red, almost black colour, the wine is spicy, full of ripe wild berries, with notes of vanilla and eucalyptus. The wood is gentle and discreet, lending to the wine's full body and long aftertaste. This wine will age well for many years.

The co-op was founded in 1982 and has 260 members from the area of Omala and Troyianata. The co-op vinifies about 70% of the total Robola grown annually and is the largest wine making concern on Kefalonia. It was formed to promote Robola and to protect the interests of the grape growers in the appellation zone. The winery is situated near the Monastery of Saint Gerassimos in the Omala valley 400 metres above sea level on the foothills of Mount Ainos.
The winery is open to the public all year round from 08.00 to 15.00 and from June to
September from 19.00-20.00.

Delicate and mild dry white table wine made from Tsaoussi and Vostilidi.

Brillante Blanc

Dry and semi-dry white table wines produced by fermenting together Robola, Tsaoussi, Vostilidi and Moschato

Brillante Rose

Dry and semi-dry rose table wines produced from the co-fermentation of Robola, Tsaoussi, Vostilidi, Moschato and Mavrodaphne. The wines are well balanced on the nose and in the mouth.

Linos

Dry red table wine made from Agiorgitiko and Mavrodaphne.
It has a dark red colour, is soft in the mouth and has a pleasant aftertaste.

The winery was established in 1992 and is located near Mavrata. Vineyards were planted in the area at the beginning of the 18th century by Jiaomo Metaxas and seven generations later, Yiannikostas Metaxas and his wife Martine now produce five labels at their modern family winery which was built in 1996. Their Robola has won 5 international awards to date.
The winery is open to the public 7 days a week from 10.00-18.00 from May to October. Winter visits are by appointment only.

A balanced, fruity, dry wine with a green-tinged colour, delicate floral nose, good acidity and long finish.

Prokris

A semi-dry, lively, fruity white wine, with a fresh aroma and a good balance between acidity and sweetness.

Elios

A dry white wine with characteristic aromas and fresh acidity, made from the Zakynthino grape variety.

Zephyros Breeze

A semi-dry rose with round body and aftertaste.

Arethousa Spring

A light, fruity, summery red wine with characteristic aromas of wild berries.

DIVINO WINERY

Divino was established in 1986 in the village of Pessada when a 17th century family winery was restored by Gerassimos Hartoularis. The winemaker is particularly interested in producing sweet, semi-sweet and semi-dry wines. This was the first winery to produce sweet White Muscat of Kefalonia. The grapes are sun-dried in the restored stone linos where traditionally grapes were trodden.

The winery is open to the public during the summer from 10.00 - 20.00 daily.

VITORATOS WINERY

The Vitoratos family has 100 years of tradition in making high quality Moschato and Mavrodaphne wines. The winery in Mantzavinata was established in 1993 with organically farmed vineyards locally and Robola grapes from the Omala area.
The winery is open to the public daily in the summer from 10.00 - 14.00 and 18.00 - 20.00.

The winery in Kechriona has been making wines from the local varieties such as Mavrodaphne, Moschatella, Vostilidi and Muscat. The winery cooperates with selected vinegrowers in the Chavdata area and their vineyards are cultivated using sensitive, traditional methods enriched with organic manure.

SCLAVOS WINES

Vino di Sasso - Robola of Kefalonia VQPRD
Grapes are selected from high altitude vineyards in the appellation zone.
The wine has a characteristic fragrance of unripe fruit.

Efrano

Dry white wine made from the co-fermentation of Moschatella and Vostilidi. The wine has subtle Muscat bouquet balanced with fresh, citurs aromas.

Metageitnion

Dry white table wine that has been aged in oak barrels. It is made from organically grown estate Vostilidi grapes. In the mouth the wine has good tannins balancing the high alcoholic level. The wine has a complex bouquet dominated by high quality wood and ripe, dried fruit.

Orgion

Dry red wine made from Mavrodaphne grapes that has been aged in French oak casks. The wine is rich and robust with a long aftertaste.

Idis - Muscat of Kefalonia

Naturally sweet wine made from sun-dried Moschato grapes from the appellation zone. The wine is light and pleasantly fruity, with a delicate sweetness that is derived from unfermented sugars.
