Aghia Efimia

The village of Aghia Efimia exudes an atmosphere of traditional Greek hospitality. The local harbour is lined with restaurants, tavernas and bars which reflect an uncommercialised Greek ambience rather than tourist inspired catering. You will find some of the best food on the island as well as traditionally wood-fired bread from the local bakery. Swimming from the small pebble bays is idyllic as the water is exceptionally clear with stunning vistas across to Ithaca island

There are no large or luxury class hotels in Aghia Efimia. The hotels here are smaller and family run. There is a selection of self-catering studios and apartments and a sprinkling of recently built luxury villas with privacy and their own swimming pools.

As the harbour is lined with shops and tavernas, the studios and apartments in Aghia Efimia are generally either on the first floor above these buildings or set back a few streets in the residential area.

From the port of SAMI it takes 15 minutes to drive along the coast to Aghia Efimia. From the port of POROS drive for about 20 minutes to SAMI. Driving from the airport takes just over one hour. If you are arriving by yacht then sail right in to Aghia Efimia port.
