For anyone taking thier laptop on holiday this year, here is an email I received back from Vodafone Greece.

Very helpful ~ But now I'm a female!!! Cry

Dear Mrs Stuart,

Regarding your recent e-mail, we would like to inform you that for internet access through laptop, you can purchase a “Vodafone Kartointernet” promotion pack, which does not require signing a contract. The pack costs 50€ and includes the USB modem, 2 free card for internet access for 15 days or 2GB each, the sim card and a user’s guide. However if you already have the usb modem you can purchase the connection pack with 20€. This pack includes the sim card, a user’s guide and a 15-day-card for internet access that gives you 2GB for use. When the 15 days or the 2GB are over then you have to buy cards of internet access from a Vodafone store.

For information about how the service works and the available sessions, please visit the link below:

http://www.vodafone.gr/portal/client/cms/viewCmsPage.action?pageId=8638&request_locale=en

You will need to visit a Vodafone store to purchase it. Please note that you will need to have your ID card or Passport with you, as all new prepaid connections need to be registered before activation, according to the current legislation.

Here is a useful link for finding a store:

Store Locator:

http://www.vodafone.gr/portal/client/eshop/selectCounty!selectFromMap.action?request_locale=en

Thank you for contacting Vodafone Greece

We’re here for you, every time you need us.

Three euros an hour is a huge amount, we stay at Kamari and the wi fi is free. They even have a laptop at the bar that you can use free of charge. I would say it depends how much you are going to use it really, we use it to check in with home and send messages to our daughter who is in Chicago for the summer but apart from that dont do anything major on the internet..julesxxx

Can't speak for the area where you are staying but most bars in the resorts have free WiFi available so unless you really need it 24/7 it may be better to wait until you go out for a drink.

Hi.

I run 2 internet shops, so I need 24/7 connection even whilst on holiday.

Last year when we went on holiday I switched on the holiday settings and still people placed orders!

Added to that customers want replies to questions before they even type them!

So I decided this year that taking a laptop on holiday will be worth it rather then coming home to 300+ emails and orders!!!

Plus of course I can earn & be on holiday at the same time... Big smile

I looked at that Vodophone site and they are now offering 30 days free WiFI  when you buy the starter kit.
