Bob.
From what I saw last Saturday, it is opening at 6pm daily, so you will be fine by 14th May.

Bob - I hope that one of the two tavernas that will be opening on 1st May is our favorite - I will be there on 5th!

Hi Bob
Thanks for letting me know, we can't wait to get back there and go to all our favourites again, and to try tavernaki for the first time.

Hi all
We've heard good things about Tavernaki on this site for some time, but never got round to going, just because it's out of the village and a bit of a drive in the evening (when you're drinking) - and we like sitting in the village.  But hearing more good reports, maybe we will have to give it a go this year (we'll be there in October).
Thanks for the website address, Sue.  Have taken a look and note that it will also deliver to your house in the evening too, so that may be an extra 'plus' (if, for any bizarre reason, we should want to stay in).

Yammas, David

Hi David
I know what you mean about having to drive in the evening, but it has had so many good reports we are going to give it a go. We will just have to have a drink when we get back because it seems a shame not to try it. Im hungry just thinking about it.

We went there last week and it was fabulous, I have wanted to go there before and we also had the not drinking and driving conversation but we compromised by going quite early, they open at 6pm and we were back in Kassiopi with the car safely put to bed by about 8.30 so there was still plenty of time for a small tipple or six, perfect, but it is one of the best meals I have ever had in Greece, simple food but so delicious and lovely people too.

There are about 6 maybe 7 seven tables inside. Two seat four people the others two.
There are about the same number outside. It's cosy and best to book but it's worth it! That's why it's called Tavernaki - little taverna!

Last year they were doing free delivery for orders over €15 if you preferred to sit on your own terrace and have a romantic night in!

We ate at Tavernaki twice last year and were impressed both times. Great food and great prices.

Here's another question for you!  The people who run Tavernaki are related to the people who run the large taverna on the left side of the beach at San Stephanos - does anyone know what that taverna is called?

Thanks

Rita
