Villa Mary

Hi I'm new to this so please excuse any errors, We are due to fly out the first week in September staying at the Villa Mary, since booking a very bad review was posted do you know if things have improved? Can you tell me if any of the villas nearby provide meals for non residents. Thanks

Thanks Elliemay, I don't usually take notice but their has not been a single review since Dec 2011. Any advice as to where we can eat at the top of the hill. We are self catering but we never do!

It was on tripadvisor I saw the review. Can anyone advise us on eating at the top of the hill,  from what I have read the hill is pretty steep and we don't want to be going up and down too many times a day.

Hi - we stayed at Villa Mary a couple of years ago (the basement twin room) and loved it. The views up there are breathtaking. No restaurants really up on the hill though (there is a supermarket almost opposite) - you do need to walk down into town (unless you have a hire car handy). We have only ever stayed up on the hill (to be away from the hussle & bussle) but walk down to the village for dinner each night. It's not that far and makes you work off your dinner! Difficult if you have mobility issues, but there's always taxis at the bottom of the hill. Have a great time - I'm certain you will.

For snacks at a very reasonable price there is Lido Sophia just a little down the hill. Exactly opposite is the Mini Mart outside Mazis Appartments, it's open ALL HOURS.

I enjoyed the Villa Mary although it was a few year back. I didn't find the hill too much of a problem and that was with a baby and toddler in toe. As has been mentioned, the views are great and a good opportunity to take some pics and there is a market right next to the property for your supplies. Enjoy your holiday and make the most of it as I'm sure you will love AG.

We were shown round the Villa Sophia and I was impressed by it and Sophia was so friendly, such a pretty garden! We wanted to explore more but it was too hot for anything energetic, we only managed to walk to the  North end of the beach and that was as it started to cool down just before the storms. Next time we plan on going in May so we can try walking to Pendati and Sinarades.
