Hi my wife and myself will be visiting Corfu for the first time at the end of May and will be staying at Villa Athina in Kaminaki, which is one of the Villaplus villas. Has anyone stayed at this particular villa and if so can you advise what you thought of it please?
In addition can anyone advise on the location of the nearest large Supermarket to Kaminaki please? Thanks in advance.

Haven't stayed at the villa but looks nice from the photos. The nearest largest supermarket we
use is A B supermarket in Ipsos, about 10km away from Kaminaki. Set on 2 floors, ground floor has the food/drinks etc and 1st floor cleaning products etc. We normally stop off at A B or Diellas in the Kontokali area approx 17 km away on our way back from Corfu town. These are even bigger supermarkets. You have also got 2 corner shops within 1 km away for the bear essentials. Hope you have a pleasant stay. Peter |

My husband and I stayed last year in Villa Thalassa which was right on the beach. We booked through Agni and there is a grocery in Nissaki called Aphrodites that will deliver. I worked with Agni to give them a list, unfortunately my email never got through to them, which we didn't realize until we actually got to our Villa. Aphrodites will also pick you up to get groceries, it isn't huge but it was big enough. For the most part we used the little corner store ran by George, now this is close to the beach, so depending how high up on the hill you are this may be a hike to take your groceries back. He had the basics, fresh fruit and fresh baked bread every morning. Beer, water, eggs, soda, bacon and other essentials. George even had beach shoes and snorkels, both of which we were very grateful for! We arrived late in the day, and the little corner store was closed, but George was sitting in the Taverna by the Beach and he opened up the store and let us get some essentials until we made it to the grocery. Really the most cooking we did was breakfast, we ate out for Dinner. Highly recommend Spiros Taverna on the Beach great food and service and really good prices. Last year was our first trip to

Hi, I am sorry it took me so long to reply to your request.
We stayed in Villa Athina last year and had one of the best holidays ever. The view and setting for the Villa are stunning and the Villa is very well equipped. It is large with plenty of room and the pool is excellent. Walking down to the Village below is easy through the Olive grove but more of a challenge coming back up!! A car is essential but I am sure that you will have had a wonderful time.

Thanks for the reply. We were there at the end of May and I would totally agree with your views on the villa other than I feel that Villa Plus should put more emphasis on the number of steps from the parking area down to the villa which could be an issue for elderly guests or those with young children.
We were unaware of the steps down to the beach prior to the visit and yes 250 steps are an issue on the way back up.
