Hi
We going back to Messonghi 18th May earlier than we usually go. Was wondering if any one knows if Victors bar is staying next to supermarket or will he be moving back to his old haunt which I expect will be completed now?

We were talking to him last year and he was planning on staying beside the supermarket.

He was saying he was going to have a kitchen area so Angelina could do a snack menu similar to what they did when they had the snack bar on the beach.

Achilles was talking about repairs they needed to do to the roof (rain covering) on the current place.

So unless they changed their minds over the winter I think they will be staying.

Have to say I quite like the new place. It's lovely and cool to sit at night and it seems to attract more people. I think a lot off people didn't know the old bar even existed.

Yes we liked the new place very pleasant and airy I think much better than the old place. Let's hope he's still in there when we go in 3 weeks time.
This is the earliest we have ever went to Messonghi, we normally go out 1st two weeks in June and mid September so we are expecting it to be a lot quieter.

We know someone who is going this weekend, they normally go end off July start of August. Have a funny feeling they will be disappointed as they like it lively and I have a feeling a lot off places won't even be open yet.

Yes your probably right because it's normally mid May when they open isn't it. I think Dyonisos, Harry's, Bacchaus & Korali will be open when we get there. Do you think Victor will be open by the 18th May?
I think the Gemini will be open and the Appollo but the Panthean normally June.
What happened last year on the beach because there wasn't as many beds? We were in Messonghi the first 2 weeks in June and we were booked to go back in the September but due to illness had to cancel and wondered if anymore beds were put on the beach.

We were there last September and there was a lot less beds than previous years especially between the snack bar and Bacchaus. Thankfully someone (not sure if it was Bacchus) had a stack of sunbeds you could use free once you stacked them back at the end of the day. The only problem is that there were no umbrellas.

I'd say Victor should be open around then. The package holiday flights from Dublin start on 22nd May.

Hi

Does anyone know if Victor's is showing the Euro matches. I am heading tomorrow and want to watch the Ireland match on Sunday?

Thanks
