Just come back from our annual walk up through Vigla village and came across something that made us literally laugh out loud ... strapped to a pole in the middle of a veggie patch, a large Father Christmas figure ... now he's scaring off unwanted wildlife!!! Now why didnt we think of doing that instead of trying to find space in our loft??

We also spent time in Seasons on the internet (doing this) or fishing in the harbour.

I don't think that George is interested Dave. I would have thought that Barbara might have done something with it as she has a great personality. It's all down to finance I suppose. A great pity, a prime site lying there doing nothing.

Alec.

As you say Alec, the mind boggles at what could be done with the place. Babs is doing her own thing now and good on her. But...  Heard rumors but nothing has come of them.

Hi Bob, Rosie and boys. It was nice to meet you in Kassiopi last Tuesday after that amazing thunder storm we had, visited Alex and Joanna at Katia Beach on another day out and spent some time on Votana, which was lovely and breezy compared to Nissaki, where I was staying this time.

Would definitely reccommend a visit too Nissaki Sea View apartments for the lovely hosts Emilios, Sophia and Leo the barman, the amazing views, great beach and excellant food.
The bus from Kassiopi stops at the top of the small road down the beach at Falcon Travel if you don't have a car that is.

Back in cold old Oxford now, can't wait though, I am back in Corfu on 30th July for three weeks this time .

PS. On the plane home last night sat next to a guy that had just walked the Corfu Trail (then spent 6 nights at Fedra Mare in San Stef), I told him about the forum so we might hear from him sometime. Saw all his photos they were amazing, then I showed him the Corfu Trail App on the i phone, very impressive. My daughter and I spent ages trying to identify the flower pictures on our walks around.

We noticed new English food restaurant called Juniper had opened. I must say it didnt have much curb appeal with large no smoking signs everywhere and I dont smoke! And at 9.30 last night had one diner. To be fair I wish them lots of luck with their venture in these hard times and watch with interest on its popularity.

We noticed that when we were there, although neither of us smoke it was a pretty in your face sign and not very welcoming, in fact when walking down towards it from Don's it really stuck out a mile.
