Hi all,
We have been to Roda 10 times since 2001 but havent been for 3 years mainly due to the introduction of the euro and the hike in prices. We stayed at Ninos 8 out of our 10 visits and Makis the other 2. We thoroughly enjoyed every second of every stay. Yalikavak has been our destination recently but all being well we are seriously thinking about going back to Roda next year. So to the point. Can you tell me what it is like these days is the old buzz still there. We mainly ate at Ninos, Roda Park, Newport (shut we hear ?) Odeyssius. Smileys for the day time and finishing the day at Pirates as watering holes. So please how are things ? Thanks in advance

Roda is still surviving and seems to be slightly more optimistic than some resorts
Roda Park is still open and Costa will welcome as usual. The Newport is also open, Odeyssius has changed hands

Lazer, Roda open pretty much as normal though sadly there has been some closures. Roda Park, Nikos Family, Newport, Smileys (now called Alexandros), Compass is now Pixidas. The Chinese has gone, so has Maggies. To tell the truth on so called Coronation St there is very little open. Just Top Gear, Lena's, the supermarket, Roda Park and Nikos Family. The buzz, the friendliness, the feel great factor are still there. We have been going for 7years now and love it.

Just returned last Monday, and as anywhere there are quiet night and busy ones. The Roda Park restaurant was always busy as was Roxannes, the Newport was open. There plenty of people wandering around later on but these are mainly from the all inclusive place looking for a decent drink and food. Very hot when we were there it was touching 50 degrees!

There seems to be a distinct lack of activity, is it a sign of the times
