It's our wedding anniversary whilst we are in Corfu (22nd June) and just wondered if any of you could recommend a special restaurant in Acharavi or one that's perhaps a bit of a treat. I'm sure they are all wonderful but if one stands out above the rest it would be interesting to know. Also would it be wise to book for a Friday night? Thanks Fizz

I'd say that the Sunset Taverna up the hill overlooking Acharavi is quite a special setting.
Watching the beautiful sunset should be romantic enough  Wink
Have a lovely time whatever you choose

Same day as our anniversary Fizz. Someone told me it was the longest day of the year but I wonder if it just seems like the longest day.

Only been 5 years, so not feeling the longest day yet! LOL

Is the Sunset Taverna easy to walk to as it sounds lovely?

Totally agree. Get there in time to watch the actual sun set its beautiful. The restaurant owner is very welcoming and helpful. Last year my son got a taxi up there for 10euros and the owner ran them back down to Harry's bar - would accept any payment.

Why dont you try the Pyramid Restaurant at St Spyridon beach. Beautiful place and restaurant. They recently done a wedding which was really nice! Have a look on their webpage at the events section to see some photos of the wedding.

Re: Sunset Taverna

The owner came and picked us up, he had to make 2 trips as there was 7 of us and he dropped us back down afterwards.
I'm sure Sue at Castaway would have a phone number for you

I will upload some photos when my son lets me on the other computer!!
