Hi Guys
I am coming to Paleo on the 28th May to the 14th June.
I usually go to Greek Islands last week of June first week of July and it always beautiful hot weather.
As i am coming 2 weeks earlier, I am so worried that the weather is going to be cold and I am going to be sitting on the beach in a jumper.
Please advise if you have been around these dates and what the weather is like during day and evening.
Also I am staying at Paleocastritsa Hotel all inclusive... any reviews on this hotel would be much appreciated..!! Many thanks xx

Hi Moomoo, We went the same weeks last year more or less and the weather in Agios Gordis was fantastic, even in the evenings it was warm enough to sit on the balcony at 10.00 pm and not feel cold. People were swimming in the sea and by the third week the pool had warmed up nicely, but other people were quite happy with the temp. before. I'm just hoping it's the same this year, but I always wear a jacket to go in and have it handy just in case. We did have a few showers but not the terrential rain we had the year before. You can always buy an umbrella, we did! We are staying just down the coast from you at Liapades Beach Hotel. Depends how hot you want it, July is too much for me.

I think the weather is better earlier in June-I find the heat in July just a bit too intense.
The only problem is probably the sea temperature, which will definitely be lower, although it doesn't really warm up properly until August. |

The weather is usually lovely- late 70s/early 80s and the flowers are out so it is just gorgeous.
I know your hotel but have never stayed there. I would imagine fabulous views as it is raised from the main road, good location- 15 minute walk/25 at flipflop pace to the main beach but La Grotta is just outside your door and the Akron beach is 5 minutes away.

I have never known the weather in June to be cold, you can get the odd shower mind!!
Even now, at the beginning of May, there are showers and thunderstorms but the weather is hot and humid!! I only go to Greece at the beginning of June or the end of September/beginning of October, the temperature is lovely at those times So yes, pack a cardie for maybe the odd cooler evening but I would be gob smacked if you need them on a beach!! ![]() |

We just had a fabulous week of weather from 28th April in Fiscardo,Kephalonia. I used a fleece in the evening but it was lovely and mild. During the day it was cossie time by the pool and I rarely used my long sleeve tops day or evening. Check long term weather forecasts before you leave and take a mix of clothing as a precaution. Some people swam in the sea and used pools but I just dunked myself as it was too cold for a softee.

We have always had our holidays in May in Corfu from the first week through to the end, and never found it cold at any time. As said before, the odd shower or even thunderstorm, but the temperature has always been fantastic and have been able to swim in both the sea and hotel pool.

Hi,
Today it has been 29C here in Kavadades (NW) so I don't think that you have too many worries.

We've been to Paleo for the last 6 years and the weather is usually very good, though 3 years ago we managed to have 8 thunderstorms in 6 days. Temperature wise in the mid to high 20's, late evenings can turn a little chilly sometimes but not cold.
The Paleokastritsa Hotel is raised above the main road, looks impessive though I have heard both good and bad reports. It really is find out for yourself. Even though you are all inclusive at the hotel, explore the numerous excellent restaurants, bars and tavernas. Only 39 sleeps to go to Paleo!

We have stayed at the hotel twice but last time about 10 years ago, we asked for a room on a high floor which we were given and the views are fantastic, we always found the staff helpful and friendly many of which have worked there for many years. We have heard mixed reports in the last couple of years and had been advised last year that the hotel was possibly going to go down the all inclusive route which obviously it now has so this will be their first season as A/I, I hope
that this is successful for them, it would be great to know how you get on.
I'm sure you will have a great time but as has previously been mentioned please do try some of the restaurants and bars as well, it would be a shame to miss out on some fantastic places.
