And Roda is just around the corner from Sidari with loads of shops and restaurants very flat as well and one long beach, just check your hotel is in Sidari as one is up a hill at the back end and no good for you as its a steep one, it used to be called Sidari Village but not sure what it is now

I have stayed in Roda and Acharavi and both have a lot to offer, I think the the beach is better in Roda as the one in Acharavi is slighty stoney in places. They are both flat resorts so easy to get around and both had a good selection of restuarants, also not too far for a bus ride out to Corfu Town.

If you pick your accommodation carefully, there is no need to tackle any hills (other than a really small incline) when you are in Kassiopi - some of the apartments are up in the hills, but the whole town is virtually level. It is a fantastic place for a holiday, with something for everyone - just enough going on if you want entertainment but many quiet, traditional tavernas if you don't. True, the beach isn't sandy but the water is beautifully clear and no sand to get everywhere!!! Roda is also a nice resort, and totally flat. Whereever you go, enjoy
ps. some good deals with Thomson to the Elizabeth Apartments in Roda at the moment - sadly I am now a Kassiopi convert so no good for me!

We have stayed twice at Spiti Prifti, as Muffy says lovely pool and garden - and the blue bus stop is almost outside. This is very handy for exploring Corfu town (and Dassia the other way) and the busses run well into the evening.
The area is not hilly and there are plenty of places to eat and drink in Gouvia and Kontokali.

Yes I agree with you, but it can be expensive to eat and drink there, and gets so full with the coach trips and cruise ships that go there every day, I love Corfu town but I dont think its for weeks holiday you would be better off staying outside and travel in for the shops, I quite often stay in Kontokali by the mariner it is not a tourist place but is so easy to get everywhere the Tellislla is a great hotel and people keep going back year after year, or the is the Spiti Priffi a great self catering hotel large pool and great gardens a 5 minute walk to Gouvia with shops bars ect. You really are spoilt for choice as everyone will have their favorite place but no matter were you go you will love it, there are plenty of videos on Corfu in the search engines, worth having a look

Muffy Corfu town is nice with the old town shops but not really for staying long stays.
There is actually an awful lot going on in Corfu town which would make it a magical centre for a holiday as long as you don't mind bussing to get to get to a good beach (although the town beaches are quite adequate for many people. From there you can bus all over the island which is a big bonus, and for me the best bit would not be being in a resort surrounded by holidaymakers but in a town with character with both locals and visitors. |

Roda would be my choice for flat areas and nice village with plenty shops and bars to suit all tastes. Kassiopi is only flat in the harbour area reached by a steep hill, some nice places to eat and drink there.

Correct me if Ime wrong but Kassiopi goes from the port area and goes uphill, and the beaches arnt the best no real sandy ones but some great places to eat some of the best on the island.

Hi and welcome you do not say the age groups in your party, there are many places you could go to, Roda is very good and flat you can also go horse riding there if you want to, plenty of good eating places the beach is nice and the water shallow, Sidari is also very good it is bigger then Roda and has a lot of shops eating places and bars, the beach is long and flat and again shallow, the Canal D'Amour is very good for bays and shallow bathing and is the far end of Sidari. Corfu town is nice with the old town shops but not really for staying long stays, were ever you go to you will be able to get buses or hire a car and go sight seeing as there is so much to see and do. I love the donkey sanctuary the donkeys are so gentle and love a cuddle and a carrot or 4 also apples. I could go on and on, but had better stop here lol Enjoy your holiday were ever you stay

Hi Vacman, Allthough you don't mention how many in your group, ages, wheelchair users, interests or preference for Self Catering or B&B. Then Roda in the north of the island could be for you... Its FLAT with only one hill in sight where the phone / TV transmitters are. The beach is narrow in parts & flat great for young children you will find plenty of choices to have Greek food and drink (English style meals & beer are available) and again all children will be most welcome and catered for. The walk to Acharavi is also flat along the beach road. Roda is quiet compared to other resorts & not in my view over commercialised. The Green bus to Corfu is also available from the village, roughly takes 1.20 minutes. We have been going back to the very friendly place of Roda since 2006 first staying at the Afrodite on B&B basis now we return to the Kosmas Appartments on self catered basis located on the main road just outside the village that we can highly recommend. I'm sure there will be other recommendations here for other resorts on Corfu, so where ever you finally decide you won't be dissapointed. Yammas for now, John.

Hi Ron,
Welcome to the Agni forums.
The whole of Corfu is beautiful but I think Kassiopi is what your looking for.
Click on the link below and have a stroll around Kassiopi.
I could tell you about Kassiopi but it would take me ages..all I can say is it's one of the most beautiful and Happy welcoming little resorts in the North East.
If you were to decide on Kassiopi you wouldn't be disapointed... plus it's on the flat..
