And Roda is just around the corner from Sidari with loads of shops and restaurants  very flat as well and one long beach, just check your hotel is in Sidari as one is up a hill at the back end and no good for you as its a steep one, it used to be called Sidari Village but not sure what it is now

Hope all these replys have helped you and you will have a great time, and will want to come back over and over again as there is so much to see and so little time to see it all.

We have stayed twice at Spiti Prifti, as Muffy says lovely pool and garden - and the blue bus stop is almost outside. This is very handy for exploring Corfu town (and Dassia the other way) and the busses run well into the evening.

Muffy Corfu town is nice with the old town shops but not really for staying long stays.

There is actually an awful lot going on in Corfu town which would make it a magical centre for a holiday as long as you don't mind bussing to get to get to a good beach (although the town beaches are quite adequate for many people.  From there you can bus all over the island which is a big bonus, and for me the best bit would not be being in a resort surrounded by holidaymakers but in a town with character with both locals and visitors.

Correct me if Ime wrong but Kassiopi goes from the port area and goes uphill, and the beaches arnt the best no real sandy ones but some great places to eat some of the best on the island.

If you want to explore the island look at Benitses- excellent Benitses-Corfu guide on internet  www.corfubenitses.gr and then hone in on Argo apartments!

Hi Vacman, Allthough you don't mention how many in your group, ages, wheelchair users, interests or preference for Self Catering or B&B. Then Roda in the north of the island could be for you... Its FLAT with only one hill in sight where the phone / TV transmitters are. The beach is narrow in parts & flat great for young children you will find plenty of choices to have Greek food and drink (English style meals & beer are available) and again all children will be most welcome and catered for. The walk to Acharavi is also flat along the beach road. Roda is quiet compared to other resorts & not in my view over commercialised. The Green bus to Corfu is also available from the village, roughly takes 1.20 minutes. We have been going back to the very friendly place of Roda since 2006 first staying at the Afrodite on B&B basis now we return to the Kosmas Appartments on self catered basis located on the main road just outside the village that we can highly recommend. I'm sure there will be other recommendations here for other resorts on Corfu, so where ever you finally decide you won't be dissapointed. Yammas for now, John.

Have you looked at Kassiopi its prety flat and has plenty of shops and tavernas and a bus service into the surrounding areas
