For anyone taking thier laptop on holiday this year, here is an email I received back from Vodafone Greece.

Dear Mrs Stuart,

 

Regarding your recent e-mail, we would like to inform you that for internet access through laptop, you can purchase a “Vodafone Kartointernet” promotion pack, which does not require signing a contract. The pack costs 50€ and includes the USB modem, 2 free card for internet access for 15 days or 2GB each, the sim card and a user’s guide. However if you already have the usb modem you can purchase the connection pack with 20€. This pack includes the sim card, a user’s guide and a 15-day-card for internet access that gives you 2GB for use. When the 15 days or the 2GB are over then you have to buy cards of internet access from a Vodafone store.

You will need to visit a Vodafone store to purchase it. Please note that you will need to have your ID card or Passport with you, as all new prepaid connections need to be registered before activation, according to the current legislation.

Three euros an hour is a huge amount, we stay at Kamari and the wi fi is free. They even have a laptop at the bar that you can use free of charge. I would say it depends how much you are going to use it really, we use it to check in with home and send messages to our daughter who is in Chicago for the summer but apart from that dont do anything major on the internet..julesxxx

I m glad to say that Acharavi provides the town with free high speed Wifi!! 

Im sure you will find somewhere with wi fi stuart, bigger bonus if its in a nice bar overlooking the sea somwhere. Enjoy your holidays.x
