Hi everyone.. well, we fly over tomorrow for `Greek Easter`
I have been looking at weather forecasts on-line, but they are not giving out sun at all over the weekend. We are not expecting summer temperatures, 20c would be nice! Anyone over there at the moment, that could tell me what its` like today & what the Greek TV weather stations are forecasting for the weekend?? Thanks...

I'm afraid it doesn't look too good. I have felt quite cold today. The temperature hasn't risen above 12 degs where we are.
For a longer term forecast covering Easter http://english.wunderground.com/global/stations/16641.html Unfortunately, this is usually pretty accurate but as it's quite a long range forecast, it could easily change. Let's hope so! We always enjoy Easter here whatever the weather!

My wife and kids are out there still and yesterday was very warm, today not so good. Last week was quite cold with some sunshine and far too much rain! Still enjoyed it though.

Sadly the weather forecast on one of the Greek TV channels last night showed rain all weekend over most of Europe so it's not looking too good for all the parade, etc.

Hi Angel,
I wouldn't take too much notice of the weather forecasts, as has been said before, Corfu is made up of micro climates. It can be pouring down in one part of the island and bright sunshine in another. Just be prepared with a brolly or waterproof jackets and then hope that you don't need to use them.

Maggie, hope that works lol! Thanks Elliemay, we'll be in Kassiopi so hope it stays dry at least for the procession down to the harbour on Saturday evening. First time we'll have been for Easter and don't really mind too much what the weather will be like, just hope it stops raining for a little while! So looking forward to the whole Greek Easter celebrations experience!

I was fortunate with the weather when I was on Corfu for Easter two years ago. Even if I hadn't have been I know I would still have enjoyed it.
It's true that the forecast isn't perhaps great for the key days of celebration but as has already been stated Corfu is an Island of "micro climates". The key word in all the forecasts I've now read is "periods" which suggests that any rain may well be sporadic and not long-lasting depending where you are. For those of you who will be on Corfu for Easter - enjoy!!  David |

That sounds extremely painful. Same as you, the weather is the worst that we have known it at Easter, however it seems that it did behaved itself for most of the island on Easter Sunday. We had a lovely time!!!

Just back today from Kassiopi! Weather was not very nice at all and we were cold and wet most of the time but what a wonderful week we had - wouldn't have missed it for the world! The Easter celebrations were lovely and it was great to see our friends. Now I just hope June weather is going to be okay .....!

We too, are now returned from Greek Easter in Corfu. As others have said, the weather was`nt great, but we had a wonderful time with friends, we would`nt have missed it for the world.
