Thinking of travelling with minimal luggage this time.

Any idea how much bottles of sun tan lotion and after-sun/moisturiser are in a Corfu supermarket? I realise the brand-name ones in racks in the resorts are massively marked up, but how do the supermarkets or chemists compare with, for example, £4 - £6 for a 200ml bottle of SPF 30 back here?

If you are travelling with easyJet you are allowed a bag of purchases made airside. Why not buy at your departure airport?

Whoever you fly with, you can always buy in Boots after security.
The Beautiful shop in Kassiopi sells sun cream at prices similar to UK ones though.

Are you? I thought anything you bought had to go in your carry-on. And with booked seats that's already two carry-on bags. Come to think of it, they haven't stopped me with a bag of snacks... and it may have been Ryanair that had the rules against extra shopping - I just know they're forced to waive them if (a) you're flying out of Billund and (b) your shopping is mostly LEGO! Tongue

I think the only major supermarket I can get to is the one on the edge of Sidari. Unfortunately I've been forced by circumstances and prices to go out on a Sunday, which means I won't get to visit one in town before I transfer.

I'm going with EasyJet, but I caved in and booked a suitcase. When I think of all the stuff I can carry bought at ASDA prices (lotion, toiletries, febreeze (instant laundry!) and breakfast cereal particularly!) it really pays for itself. I won't have a car, and as I said, arriving on a Sunday means I can't shop in town on arrival, nor dawdle and use the buses. It'll have to be a shuttle transfer to Sidari, and Zeus-knows how long that'll take.
